***WHEN YOU WERE THERE***
Episode 2
It's two months and two weeks and Mona's flow hadn't come.

Fellowship members began to notice the  drastic change in Mona's body and questions began to roll in.

Mona was scared of the changes she noticed in her body but she tried to dismiss the thought of pregnancy, the Bible says that whatever is not planted by my heavenly father shall be rooted out, so this pregnancy or assumed pregnancy can't remain, she declared within herself.

Sister Pelline was assigned by her fellowship sisters to find out what was going on with the changes in Mona's body.
At first, sister Pelline quickly put up a defense for Mona saying that it was development, knowing that soon, she'll be transitioning into adulthood, but when it became obvious and her fellowship sisters insisted, she decided to comply.

One Wednesday evening, after dinner, sister Pelline decided to ask Mona.

Mona, there's something I want to discus with you, and if you regard me as an elder sister, you won't be offended, Pelline said, holding Mona's hands and putting them on her laps as Mona was paying rapt attention.

OK, what's it? Mona replied, She was already getting suspicious of the next question.

.....and I want you to confined in me and tell me the truth, Pelline added.

Sister Pelline, i'm  a believer, a daughter of Zion, so you don't expect me to lie, do you? Mona said, trying to be Bravo.

When last did you see your flow? Pelline pointed out? Staring fast at Mona's eyes.

But why the question? Mona asked, trying not to be offended.

People are thinking you might be pregnant, Pelline said, scratching her head.
Mona acting surprise. Why??? Do I look Pregnant?? Mona asked with a full expression of surprise on her face, as her heart was beating fast.

Honestly, you do! Sister Pelline said, trying to be honest.

Your boobs look bigger than usual,

your hips enlarged and your face and feet fat too,

you generally look fat and beautiful, though your tommy is normal,

Pelline went on but Mona quickly interrupted.

OK...I had already promised you I won't be offended so I won't be. Mona said.

I'm  almost 20years old, and you don't expect changes in my body? Mona asked Pelline who was looking at her breast.
....And about the beauty, it's the glory of God, Mona quickly added before Pelline cuts in.

Yes dear, your age, I know and I told them this too, but the changes is rather too drastic, I must admit, Pelline replied.

Them??? Mona asked, trying to use her top to cover her breast that Pelline was looking at.

Who are they??
Mona queried .

The fellowship sisters, Pelline replied.
Oh! So you have been gossiping about me??Mona said angrily,

My dear, its not time to pick offense, trying to calm Mona down who was already boiling in rage.

Am not pregnant! Thanks! Mona said sarcastically, and walked out on Pelline, who just sat down, looking.

These sisters are nothing but bloody gossipers,   Mona said and hissed out!

Mona changed her attitude towards sister Pelline and stopped attending fellowship.

All efforts to talk to her was abortive.

Mona decided to hear from Kester, since he haven't kept in touch after they met last.

At least,  I have a friend to talk to aside of  those sisters whose  all they go about doing is gossiping, Mona said, trying to dial Kester 's mobile  number.
......To be continued.

De-starching the Leaves of a Plant

De-starching the Leaves of a Plant 'De-starch (or Destarch) the leaves of a potted plant' is one of the preliminary steps in a  photosynthesis experiment . Biology students often ask the following questions about de-starching. What is  the definition of de-starching? Why it is necessary to de-starch the leaves of a plant before conducting photosynthesis experiments? What happens to the starch stores when the potted plant is deprived of light or carbon dioxide? How to de-starch the leaves of a plant? What is the definition of de-starching? De-starching is the process by which the starch reserves in a plant are depleted by depriving the plant of either light or carbon dioxide.  Why is it necessary to de-starch the leaves of a plant before conducting photosynthesis experiments? We test for the presence  of starch  in leaves in order to determine that photosynthesis has occurred. Glucose -  the product of photosynthe

Ethanol Emulsion Test for Fats and Oils

Ethanol Emulsion Test for Fats and Oils The  Ethanol Emulsion Test  is a  food test  which determines the presence of a broad group of naturally occurring compounds known as  lipids . Lipids consist of  fats  and  oils . Other lipid tests include the  Grease Spot Test  and the  Sudan Stain Test . The Grease spot test is performed on fats - lipids which are solid at room temperature. Sudan stain colours lipids red, but is a less common bench reagent than ethanol. The Ethanol Emulsion Test is the most common test amongst the three. Procedure Solid sample  Crush  the food sample and place in a dry test tube. Add ethanol  to about 2 cm3 above the level of the sample and shake thoroughly. Allow the solid to  settle  (about 3 min) to allow the lipid to be extracted. Decant  the ethanol into another test tube. Add 2 cm3 of  deionized water  to the second test tube Make observations. Liquid sample Add a  few drops  of the liquid food sample to a dry te
