*WHEN YOU WHERE THERE*
Episode 20
..... You know I work in  the mission house,
Felix asked Mona who nodded, listening.

After my wife's burial, they told me that they are sending me to Ukraine for mission work.
Felix said and paused, expecting to see a reaction from Mona.

   OK??
Mona said, listening.

I'll be leaving next weekend to prepare for the journey.
Felix said and stopped.

    Next weekend??
Mona screamed but quickly calm down.

    Oh, OK,
Mona said quietly.

Mona I know our meeting was brief, but each moment spent with you, are memories I won't trade for the world.
Felix said softly to Mona who was still quiet.

   Mona are you OK.??
Felix asked her, bending his head to see her bowed face.

   Mona was already in tears.

   No no no no no,
Please Mona stop!
Felix begged.

   Don't go please,
Mona said softly with her head still bowed.

Remember I told you you are the only family I have now?
Mona said, raising her tearful eyes up.

I know I can't stand your way with God and I don't want to, but please stay here in Nigeria and do mission work where I can access you.
Mona continued.

I know am selfish but there are a lot of lands to conquer here in the country.

   Do you have to go??
Mona said in tears, looking straight Into Felix's eyes.

   Felix was silent.

It has been his long desire to tour foreign ground, but right now, he's not sure if this opportunity was an answered prayer.

   Mona,
If I have my way, I wouldn't leave your side because I don't want you out of my sight....

Then tell them you want to remain in Nigeria.
Mona interrupted.

This isn't about me or what I want.
Felix said firmly.

    Oh!
True,
Mona said and got up, walking to the sitting room.

   Mona am sorry,
Felix said, following her.

You don't have to be, its not your fault.
Mona said and sat on the coach, cleaning her tears.

There's one more thing I need to tell you Mona,
Felix said, and sat facing her.

Mona looked at him in silent.

Mona, I know we've known each other for just a short while now, but that's really all it takes to know someone.
Felix said and paused.

His heart was beating fast and he was not sure what Mona's reaction would be.

   Mona sat starring.

She have no idea what is about to hit her.

Felix gentle took her both hands and locked them in his.

... I know I just lost my wife, and...
And....
Felix stammered.

   OK, Mona,
I actually rehearsed this thing but it's not even flowing.
Felix said and giggled.

Am not so good with words Mona,
So please help me make this easy.
Felix said shaking and almost in tears.

   Now Mona is in suspense.

She still didn't say a word and this made Felix even more nervous.

Felix adjusted, and cleared his throat.

He gently put his left kneel on the floor and held her hands even tight as though he don't want her to escape.

   You know,
My younger brother told me:
Whatever and whoever makes you happy, stick to it.

   Mona you do!

Beyond happiness, you give me joy and
I have no regret of all that happened to me because I met you.
Felix breath down and said.

    Mona,
Spend the rest of your life with me,
I wanna spend mine loving and nurturing you.

   Marry me Mona.
Felix dropped the bomb and paused.

   Mona was calm.

Felix,
Mona called softly.

  Why?
Do you feel pity for me??
You wanna console me with a marriage proposal??
Mona asked softly, even though she was sure Felix meant all he said.

   No Mona,
And you know it,
Felix responded.

This is coming straight from my soul.
Felix said still on his kneel.

    I love you,
I can't explain how but I feel heaven just hearing your voice.

Each moment spent with you, where the best moments of my life.

I love you to my soul and heart.

Its something i can't explain, Felix stammered.

  Please don't force me to.
Felix pleaded.

Mona could hear his heart pounding.

    I have to go now.
Mona said with shiver from her voice.

She quietly remove her hands from Felix's grip and stood up, leaving Felix on his knee.

Felix got up and sat on the coach with his head bowed and his fingers knitted Into each other

   Mona walked to the door.

   Felix, please keep in touch.
Mona said and left.

 .....To be continued.

De-starching the Leaves of a Plant

De-starching the Leaves of a Plant 'De-starch (or Destarch) the leaves of a potted plant' is one of the preliminary steps in a  photosynthesis experiment . Biology students often ask the following questions about de-starching. What is  the definition of de-starching? Why it is necessary to de-starch the leaves of a plant before conducting photosynthesis experiments? What happens to the starch stores when the potted plant is deprived of light or carbon dioxide? How to de-starch the leaves of a plant? What is the definition of de-starching? De-starching is the process by which the starch reserves in a plant are depleted by depriving the plant of either light or carbon dioxide.  Why is it necessary to de-starch the leaves of a plant before conducting photosynthesis experiments? We test for the presence  of starch  in leaves in order to determine that photosynthesis has occurred. Glucose -  the product of photosynthe

Ethanol Emulsion Test for Fats and Oils

Ethanol Emulsion Test for Fats and Oils The  Ethanol Emulsion Test  is a  food test  which determines the presence of a broad group of naturally occurring compounds known as  lipids . Lipids consist of  fats  and  oils . Other lipid tests include the  Grease Spot Test  and the  Sudan Stain Test . The Grease spot test is performed on fats - lipids which are solid at room temperature. Sudan stain colours lipids red, but is a less common bench reagent than ethanol. The Ethanol Emulsion Test is the most common test amongst the three. Procedure Solid sample  Crush  the food sample and place in a dry test tube. Add ethanol  to about 2 cm3 above the level of the sample and shake thoroughly. Allow the solid to  settle  (about 3 min) to allow the lipid to be extracted. Decant  the ethanol into another test tube. Add 2 cm3 of  deionized water  to the second test tube Make observations. Liquid sample Add a  few drops  of the liquid food sample to a dry te
